Using Apple Accounts (Apple iDs) on District Devices
This article provides important guidelines for district employees regarding the use of Apple Account (Apple ID) services, such as iCloud and the App Store, on district-issued devices. Key Guidelines Create an Apple Account Using Your District Email Address Employees intending to use Apple ID-related services on district-issued devices should create their Apple ID using their district email address. Please note that Apple has its own account authentication that is separate from MFA on your district account. Click this link for Apple's Article on creating an Apple Account. You can also create the Apple Account directly from the iPhone or iPad device by going to Settings and tapping the "Apple Account" bar at the top. Do not use Personal Apple IDs on District Devices Due to government-mandated archiving, do not use personal Apple IDs on district-issued devices. iMessage is disabled on district iPhones due to government-mandated archiving and should be turned off on other devices using the Apple Account to avoid communication conflicts. Account Support and Recovery Assistance Technology Services cannot assist with Apple ID account recovery issues. We will need to refer you to Apple Support for assistance. Your account is secured to the email address attached to it.
